Experience

I have experience in teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. This also includes special education classrooms. My certification is New York State Social Studies Grades 7-12. I also have my Coaching certification, which is a background of Health and Wellness classes and will have my Museum Studies Certification this May of 2015. My former tutoring experience has been with grades ranging through elementary school to senior year of college. These tutoring experiences have all been in a variety of subject areas such as reading, writing, elementary mathematics, and most notably Social Studies. Some of my tutoring methods include oral review of content with emphasis on key topics (especially the case for Social Studies), essay building (working on sentence structure and clarity in writing). Other methods include vocabulary quizzes as well as conceptual content assignments for history lessons and other related content areas.
