Experience
I have privately tutored 100+ students for the past 4 years in a wide variety of musical subjects, including piano, music theory, music composition, music history, aural skills, sight-singing, and dictation. I have taught students at all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and from ages 7-60. I am familiar with a wide variety of difficulties that students encounter, and am patient, kind, and supportive. I help my students not only learn and improve, but also equip them with skills to learn and practice effectively on their own. I love watching my students make progress, and I enjoy creating methods for helping them improve. I am dedicated to providing high-quality music education, and have consistently been recognized as an effective and committed teacher. -Awards & Recognition- UB Teaching Fellowship Recipient (2014) Oberlin College Grant (2010) Oberlin Conservatory Dean's Scholarship (2010) Henry Mancini Scholarship in Film Composition (2010) LACHSA Music Department Award (2006)
