William B.
Private tutor in Buffalo, NY
Education
PhD, MS in Aerospace Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. NASA GSRP Fellowship (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center).
Experience
I have extensive teaching, training, tutoring and coaching experience. I am currently a teacher of physics at Nichols School. I have also been a Professor of Physics at Niagara University and a Teaching Assistant and Research Associate in Aerospace Engineering at the University at Buffalo. I am inspired by Richard Feynman (Caltech), and Carl Sagan (Cornell). I believe in Plutarch's adage, "The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be lighted," a phrase which I'm told Apollo astronauts Dave Scott and Alan Bean were also fond of!

Hobbies
I am interested in aviation (I hold an FAA Private Pilot license) and I enjoy aviation and space-program history. I play tennis, I water-ski, downhill-ski, and I play and coach ice hockey. I also play trumpet, and I enjoy jazz, classical music, and drum & bugle corps. I've traveled extensively, especially in Europe, and I speak some French. I am fascinated by Roman and Egyptian history. I love Buffalo history, planning and architecture (I give tours!) and I'm also a community activist in Buffalo.
