EducationUniversity at Buffalo - BS, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
ExperienceI received my BS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York. I began tutoring peers while working on my degree as a way to help ensure I had a firm grasp on my own studies. I soon realized how rewarding and enjoyable tutoring can be. As a tutor, I have found all students have the ability to comprehend a subject if their teacher takes the time to understand and accommodate the student's learning style. I have most enjoyed tutoring college students in math, science, and engineering. I enjoy reinforcing my own knowledge base and having the opportunity to share real world experience and applications of the subjects with my students. I have also tutored students in middle school and high school in math and science coursework. Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, geometry, trigonometry, chemistry, physics, and mechanical engineering. Additionally, I am available to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE.When I'm not tutoring, most of my interests revolve around music. I play the saxophone and banjo and am attempting to learn a few other instruments. I also enjoy hiking and exploring the area around Seattle.
