Experience
Hi, I have been tutoring students in the Stony Brook area for about a year and received many positive results reflected both on my students' ability in mathematics and their test scores. I can communicate ideas in math to my students particularly well and I am also effective with people in general. Some of my past test scores include: -158/170 verbal, 166/170 quantitative GRE -770/800 SAT math -5/5 AP physics -5/5 AP calculus AB, -A All college level calculus courses (I, II, III). And here is a list of Software tools I am familiar with: Matlab/Simulink. ,C/C++,Python, Atmel Assembly, Linux/UNIX Shell Scripting, FreeRTOS. I previously work at Lockport's Delphi/MAHLE as an Embedded System Software Student Co-op for a year. I currently work as a Graduate level Researcher in Computer Science - Robotics lab of SUNY at Buffalo. I have a breadth of knowledge in the field of Embedded System Programming & Aerial Robotics. Let's talk about the lessons on math , I understand that learning math is like building a skyscraper, if the foundation is not firmed and thoroughly grasped by my student, advancing towards a higher tier would likely fail. For example, when we started out in geometry, if we can't thoroughly learn and understand parallelograms, we will likely to have trouble studying the triangle area calculation. This subsequently affects triangle similarity/identical proofs, and in the long run hinders our understanding of calculus when it comes to area-under-the-curve calculation. This puts studying calculus under jeopardy. I always try to improve my student's fundamentals in math in all aspects before they progress into harder areas, which will ensure their thorough knowledge of math and therefore their test score. (When it comes to exam prep lessons it will be better to cover the subjects related to the exams such as SAT and NYS Regents. Fundamentals are still covered before we start to practice the exam problems to make sure my student has a good understanding of the elements in the exam). In physics, I carefully tailor study plan for my student base on their mathematical fundamental, and explain things in details so my student can fully understand the lesson. I hope my lessons can truly benefit you (or your children), and that has always been my goal of teaching.
